Frequently Asked Questions
Please call or send us a message if you have any questions!
What are your business hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Veterinary services are offered by appointment only. We see house-call patients on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and in-clinic appointments and surgeries on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What types of animals do you treat?
At this time, we only treat dogs and cats.
Isn't home vet care super expensive?
It is true that due to the inherently inefficient nature of providing mobile veterinary services, you can expect our services to be slightly more expensive than going to a traditional brick and mortar practice. We recognize and fully acknowledge that our practice may not be a good fit for everyone or for all situations. We find that our clientele prioritizes time, convenience, and their pets' comfort and thus are willing to pay a premium for services that provide this. That said, we may not be as expensive as you may imagine. Contact us today and one of our trained Customer Service Representatives can provide you with an estimate for our services. Also, we do offer in-clinic appointments for those who do not want the house-call experience.
Do you offer in-clinic appointments?
Yes, we do offer in-clinic appointment options for those clients/patients that would rather be seen in a more typical clinic setting.
How do House call appointments work? What should i expect?
First, simply call our office to make an appointment. We will ask some basic information about you and your pet and their previous veterinary care. Once you have an appointment scheduled, you will receive several reminder calls/texts leading up to the day of your appointment. If you need to, you can cancel or reschedule the appointment at no charge up to 24 hours prior to the visit. Last-minute or late cancellations may result in a rescheduling fee or require a deposit prior to rescheduling. On the day of your appointment, we will arrive to your home in a discrete, lightly branded SUV. Typically, our home team will consist of your veterinarian and one licensed veterinary technician. We will bring everything we need for the appointment right to your door. We will then set up our equipment (generally just a scale, a laptop and a medical supply bag) wherever you would like us to complete the exam. We usually prefer a well-lit, semi-open space. Many of our clients chose their living room, den, kitchen or even lanai. Wherever you prefer to have the visit, we can make it work. We then complete our examination and any testing/treatments that you approve, making sure that you understand exactly what is happening every step of the way. Detailed cost estimates can and will be given upon request. In most cases, if medication is required, we can provide it right away at the appointment. If not, we will arrange to have medications shipped right to your door. Upon completing the appointment, we will summarize the visit and make sure that you do not have any questions about the care your pet received. We will then take secure payment for our services. All payment is due at the time of service, no exceptions. We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and all major credit cards. We do not accept care credit at this time. Please note that we are a paperless practice and will email you a receipt and any applicable documentation related to your appointment. We also ensure that your home is left as we found it, being sure to clean up and take everything with us that we used or brought to the appointment. You will receive a follow-up call, text or email (depending on your preferences) 1-2 days after the visit to check-in on your pet and make sure that you are satisfied with the level of service you received. It is our sincerest goal to exceed your expectations every visit!
What areas do you serve?
We serve greater Fort Myers, Alva, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Bonita Springs, and Naples. Service availability may vary, so please contact us to confirm coverage in your specific location.
Do you offer emergency services?
No, due to the nature of our mostly mobile business, we are unable to take on true emergency cases. In these situations, we recommend contacting your nearest 24-hour veterinary emergency facility. However, if you are an established client and you have a non-life threatening but urgent situation with your pet and you're not sure what to do, call us. We will do our best to help you in any way we can.
